The University of Gondar would like to invite proficient applicants for Undergraduate and Graduate Programs for the respective academic year. Hence, based on the minimum admission requirements of each program interested and competent applicants may apply to the available programs.
Currently,
University Placements to all regular undergraduate programs are processed
through the Ministry of Education at the national level until such time that
the University of Gondar establishes its own admission policies and procedures
and implements it. The university then conducts admission and enrollment to the
different programs based on competency & results of the Ethiopian Higher
Education Entrance Certificate Examination (EHEECE), the choice of the student,
separate entrance examination result and the intake capacity of
Departments/Schools/Institutes. Foreign examinations results must be certified
by the Ministry of Education for their equivalency to the EHEECE. Admissions
and enrolments to all programs are processed by the University Registrar in
consultation with the respective academic units concerned and by the decision
of the Senate Standing Committee called
Academic Standards and Curriculum Review
Committee (ASCRC).
Criteria
for special admissions to individual programs such as Medicine, Dental
Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Music, Film, Theatrical arts, Law, Architecture and
